Kiteboarding Fort Fisher Basin

1. Without a doubt you will need foot protection, oyster shells everywhere.
2. Be aware, some spots are muddy
3. Their is one launch area, and it's very small. Be aware of boats, jet ski's, people, other kiters etc.
4. At low tide it is VERY shallow (a foot deep) in most places close to the launch area.
5. The green bouy close to the boat ramp signals deep mud.
6. The 2 purple/pink bouy's signal rocks.
